Capital Development Authority (CDA) has invited bids for further proceeding of PWD underpass and Korang Bridge construction. These 2 projects is a vital step towards the Signal Free Controlled Access Corridor on Islamabad Expressway.

Due to Covid-19 pandemic, the work was halted. However, construction work on PWD Underpass & Korang Bridge Resumes in end of March. The cost of project estimated more than PKR 741 million. Its approved under Public Sector Development Program (PSDP).  The whole project of Signal Free Controlled Access Corridor on Islamabad Expressway will carried out in different phases. This underpass and Korang Bridge is part of Phase-1.

As per news sources, underpass will completed in 8 months while Korang Bridges will take 20 months.
